Ok…this is a hard one for me.  It is advisable to use cash for all purchases.  This tactic will prevent you from charging items or financing big-ticket items that you just don't need or simply can't afford.  Items that are charged on a credit card incur interest fees, most times at outrageously high rates.  Additionally, you tend to spend more when you use a credit card than you would if you used cash.  For this reason, many companies including fast food establishments have made it extremely easy to charge products.  I can drive through McDonalds and hand the cashier my card at the first window and drive up to the second window and my food and receipt are there waiting for me…no signature needed.  The grocery store is the same way.  I understand that if it's under a certain amount, a signature is no longer needed.  Starbucks is one of my many handicaps. It's almost instantaneous!  My card is swiped before I can even take a look at the cds, biscotti, and other knick-knacks placed strategically around the cash register.  But, I'm getting better and you will, too.  If you don't have the cash to pay for it, you don't need it.  So, don't buy it.

And for those of you using credit cards to make it to the next pay check, now is the time to stop.  You are only getting further into debt.
